Cocoon of Light.
Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. …But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Luke 12:22-31
ME: Jesus, I must really test Your patience with all the worries and concerns that I bring to You. I’m so sorry for my foolishness.
JESUS: Precious child of Mine, you are not foolish. You are human. At least you are bringing them to Me.
ME: Yes, I remember the days when I sought answers in some ungodly places.
JESUS: But now you are in My Light. I am all around you, like a cocoon of Light. My Presence with you is a promise, independent of your awareness of Me.
ME: There are lots of times my heart does not feel You near but my head tells me You are with me. Why is that?
JESUS: Many things can block this awareness, but the biggest culprit is worry. My children tend to accept worry as an inescapable fact of life. However, worry is a form of unbelief. It is an abomination to Me.
ME: I never mean to intentionally disappoint You. Worry just happens. When I can’t figure out what to do or how to get things done, I tend to get anxious.
JESUS: Let Me ask you this: Who is in charge of your life? If it is you, then you have good reason to worry. But since I am in charge, worry is both unnecessary and counterproductive. When you start to feel stressed about something, give Me the situation.
ME: I try to do that but sometimes the worry doesn’t go away.
JESUS: Back off a bit. Redirected your focus to Me. I will either take care of the problem Myself or show you how to handle it. My child, somehow you have concluded that because you are Mine, you should not have problems. That is not reality. Read My words found in John 16:33 and know that I have overcome the chaos and disheartening troubles of your fallen world.
ME: Thank You for your love and patience with me. While I don’t deserve this, You just keep pouring it on.
JESUS: A promise is a promise—and trust Me, I keep My promises.
