Chris McKinstry

Hi I’m Chris, and I have the pleasure of serving as pastor here at St. James.

I grew up in Baldwinsville, NY which is a small town outside of Syracuse, NY. I went to Houghton College out in the middle of nowhere in western New York, and went to Seminary in Philadelphia. Prior to serving at St. James, I served as the Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Meriden, CT. My wife Kate and I have been married since May 2007 and together we have two boys, Liam who is six, and Caeden who is three.

I really enjoy spending time with other people, sharing stories over food, and/or beer and coffee. I also enjoy reading, writing, comic books, Stars both Wars and Trek, Doctor Who, the Phillies, and the Eagles.

Bobbie Hoffman
Director of Discipleship

I am truly blessed because I love what I do at St James.  It is privilege to help people grow in faith by finding and using their God-given gifts in ways that are meaningful to them.  Praying with people at all points in life and asking, “Where is God in this with you?” has been a blessing.

I’ve lived in Limerick since I was in the third grade… yes, that’s a long time! Before coming to work at St James, I worked as an RN in a neonatal ICU and at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital. In my position here, my nursing skills and experience have been put to good use helping congregants with medical issues.

I enjoy helping people get connected in small groups and ministry activities here at St. James and in the larger community. I also enjoy all things coffee, old movies and having great conversations with my family and friends.

Janet Hilsmier
Coordinator of Children and Family Ministry

I was born and raised on the great Lake Erie not too far from Cleveland, Ohio and studied at Bowling Green State University before moving to the Philadelphia area. Having lived here for a good long time, it might take a rare slip to realize I’m not from around here, but I’m proud of my origins and I love living in Limerick. My husband Kevin and I are proud parents of twin daughters who give us every reason to be grateful and faithful to God.

I am excited to use my gifts in the Children and Family Ministry which includes Kids Connect, our christian education program, and seasonal family events. Our team of volunteers are helping kids grow deeper in faith, closer to Jesus and to each other.

Christine Wunder
Church Administrator

Hi, I’m Christine. It is my pleasure to be the office administrator at St. James since February 2012. I grew up in Marlton, NJ and, as a true Jersey girl, I find my happy place by the ocean. I have 3 beautiful daughters (I’m not biased though), one very outnumbered husband and a rescue dog, Jaeger. I love spending time with my family, traveling, going out with friends and watching football (yes, I am a Giants fan and terribly outnumbered). I love serving the St. James community and feel blessed to be part of this wonderful team.

Andrew Kuhn
Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Hi, I'm Andrew, I'm the Youth Coordinator at St. James.
I moved around as a kid living in the states of New York, Virginia, Kansas, Ohio, and of course Pennsylvania.  Prior to working with the community of St. James, I worked for the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania as the Director of Family & Young Adult ministries.

I love running (5K is my specialty), movies, photography, and laughing.  I've been labeled a "Witty Ninja".  If you're in need of a sparing partner for wittiness, I'm your guy!

Dr. Keith Javors
Director of Music

My name is Keith Javors and I’m blessed to serve as Director of Music at St. James Lutheran.  I was probably your “not-so-typical” Midwestern boy, hailing from the Southern Illinois village of DeSoto, population 1600 (and yes, it was and still is a “village”).  I started picking up songs by ear on our defunct player piano around age two I’m told, and took on my first professional church position at 12 as pianist at a local Methodist church.  I would eventually go on to complete a B.M. and M.M. in Jazz Performance at the University Of North Texas and then a Doctorate in Music Education from the University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I’ve worn many hats in the music industry and today I stay busy as an artist and producer and also founder and Artistic Director of Inarhyme Records, a global label and production company.    While I view my life in music as more of a passionate “hobby” than a job, other hobbies include enjoying time with family and friends, writing prose and poetry, traveling, and jet-skiing.
