Undivided Love
Then Peter began to speak: now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. Acts 10:34–35 (NIV)
God shows no partiality. His love is not divided by race, culture, status, or history. From the beginning, God’s heart has been for all people, and through Jesus, that truth is made unmistakably clear. Christ crossed every barrier—touching the untouchable, welcoming the outcast, and loving without condition.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to love as He loves. This love is not passive; it is intentional, courageous, and sacrificial. It listens, learns, forgives, and seeks justice. Loving like Jesus means seeing every person as made in the image of God and worthy of dignity and compassion.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. echoed this biblical truth when he declared: “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed…”
That dream aligns with the heart of God—a vision where humanity reflects God’s impartial love and justice. On this day, we remember that the work of love, unity, and reconciliation continues, and that God invites each of us to take part in it.
May we examine our hearts, ask God to remove any prejudice within us, and commit ourselves anew to walking in the love of Christ—loving not in word only, but in action and truth.
Gracious God, thank You for being a God who shows no partiality. Thank You for loving all people equally and fully. Search our hearts and reveal any ways we fall short of loving as You do. Teach us to see others through Your eyes and to act with humility, courage, and compassion. Help us to be instruments of Your peace and agents of Your reconciling love in a divided world. May our lives reflect Your justice, mercy, and grace.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
