Liquid Love
How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light. (Psalm 36:7-9, ESV)
For just a few moments, imagine yourself enjoying this view standing near the falls. The air is fresh and there is a light fragrance of tropical flowers. The sun warms your body from the outside in. Relax!
You are far removed from the pressures and stress of your workplace. Your family conflicts are far away.
Your finances are not important at this moment.
Clear your cluttered mind.
Close your eyes.
Stand in His Presence. Sing Him a love song. You are alone and no one can hear you except Him.
Let this living water pour over you like liquid love.
You are clean. Feel His love. It warms you from the inside out. It’s greater than anything you’ll find while on this earth. Take a deep breath and let it out slowly.
Wade slowly into the crystal-clear water. Sit in the shallows or keep walking into the deep.
Stay put and enjoy where you are. The water washes away your worries.
You are full of peace and love.
It’s time to go back.
You can visit this lovely location any time you choose.

This is called guided imagery. Google says it uses the mind-body connection to promote relaxation and well-being, reducing stress, anxiety, and pain by engaging the senses to create calming mental pictures, which lowers heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormones, leading to better sleep and a greater sense of control.
Add Jesus to this imagery!
Maybe you are not into tropical but you like the mountains better.
Talk to Him. Sing songs of praise for His wondrous acts of love.
Dive deep! You still won’t find the bottom of His love for you.
There have been times in my life when I truly needed this recovery method. It does work! When the stress was too much and my confidence was gone.
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us
