Memorial Day Prayer
No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
Heavenly Father,
On this Memorial Day, we pause with grateful hearts to remember the men and women who courageously gave their lives in service to our country. We thank You for their sacrifice, their bravery, and their willingness to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
Comfort the families who carry the sorrow of loss and surround them with Your peace and strength. Help us never to take for granted the blessings secured through such sacrifice.
Lord, remind us that true love is shown through selfless giving. As we reflect on those who laid down their lives for others, may our hearts also turn to the perfect example of sacrificial love found in Your Son.
Thank You for Jesus Christ, who willingly laid down His life so that we may have forgiveness, hope, and the greatest freedom of all — freedom from sin and eternal life through Him.
