New Curriculum! Spark Activate Faith

We are excited to announce that we’ve changed our source materials for Kids Connect lessons. We’ve chosen to use Spark Activate Faith classroom content for teaching our lessons. Each Spark Classroom lesson follows a four-part sequence:

  • Gather – We begin the day by gathering together and checking with our highs and lows of the week. We may include a warm up activity.

  • Open the Bible – Open Bibles and explore the day’s story

  • Activate Faith – Get moving and become engaged in the story they just read by using both print materials and activities which include movement.

  • Send – Finish with a closing activity and prayer

This really isn’t much different from what we’ve done with our previous content, but we can look forward to materials that are in sync with the Spark Bible that the children are already using.

What you might not see: Themes and monthly “Bible points” or “life applications”. Instead we’ll continually point the children to God who made us, Jesus who loves us, and the Holy Spirit who guides us.
