Kids Connect Sundays in the Summer
Beginning this weekend, we’ll start our summer Sundays at Kids Connect. That means, we combine all ages in one classroom for the lessons and activities during worship. This allows our Kids Connect Leaders, who are also mothers of children here at St James, to have more options for worship and respite during the weeks between now and Rally Day on Sept. 13.
Children heading to Kids Connect should still check in at the kiosk by Door 2. And, children of any age are invited to worship in the Sanctuary too. The options are always yours to choose.
Special note: the Hospitality Team takes the months of July and August off for respite as well. No official fellowship hours are hosted during those months. (Exception: Smart Start packing day on August 10 may have snacks and refreshments.)

Join us for Rainforest Falls VBS!
June 29 - Jul 2 – 6-8:30PM
Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life’s storms.
This VBS is geared towards PreK students age 4 through 5th Grade. We accept online registrations only - there are no walk-in/last minute registrations at the door. This policy ensures we have enough supplies for each child and the right number of volunteers to keep everyone engaged.
Our VBS starts at 6:00pm and ends at 8:30pm Monday through Thursday. Each night, the kids will sing and dance, play games, learn scripture verses and Bible stories and even a little science -- all lessons that point to how we can trust Jesus in a wild world. We do not include dinner, but a light snack and water will be available.
