God of Mercy and Shelter,
In this time of devastation and loss, we lift up our hearts to You.
Be close to all who suffer from the flooding in Texas and the girls and counselors missing from the girls’ summer camp.
Embrace those who mourn, comfort those who are waiting for a loved one to be found.
Shelter the displaced,
strengthen the weary,
and inspire all of us to offer loving assistance to those in need, as opportunities come to be of help. We ask this through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
