A Prayer for the First Day of Autumn
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Gracious and loving God,
We thank You for the gift of autumn and for the beauty of Your creation. Thank You for the changing colors of the leaves, the harvest from the earth, the crispness of the air, and the blessings that surround us each day.
As the seasons change, remind us that Your love never changes. Help us to receive each day as a gift, to be grateful for Your provision, and to trust You in every season of our lives.
We especially thank You for Jesus Christ, our Savior, through whom we receive forgiveness, hope, and everlasting life. Keep us faithful in Your Word and joyful in Your promises. May we see You at work in our lives and in the world in every season.
