Youth Lock-In on Saturday, 9/13
Open to youth in grades 7-12, we’ll do dinner, play some games, have some devotional time and pop in a movie. We’ll also brainstorm some ideas for additional activities throughout the school year.
Start time: 6PM Saturday. Let Janet Hilsmier know if your youth is attending. Yes, they can bring a friend.
I need at least 2 additional adults - one male, one female to stay over. Adults must have clearances on file with the church.
Final head counts are due by Thursday, Sept. 11 or we’ll postpone for another time.
Confirmation Classes Begin 9/21
Confirmation classes for students in grades 7-8 will begin later this month. We’re rotating our class locations with New Hanover Lutheran and St James Pottstown congregations. A separate email will be sent to Confirmation eligible families. The first class will be held at New Hanover Lutheran Church.
Fall Youth Retreat!
We have a fun opportunity for youth in grades 6-9 this Fall! Join us for an overnight retreat at Bear Creek Camp in the Poconos! I am part of the leadership team from our synod to produce an adventure including hiking, games, fire pit, faith conversations and more! Bear Creek Camp features heated cabins with bunks for sleeping and in-house bathrooms. I’d love for your kids to join me!!
Friends are welcome; they don’t need to be Lutheran; they can be part of another Lutheran church. If they belong to a Lutheran congregation, we’d love them to attend with their church, but they can register with us if there isn’t anyone from their church attending.
I am looking for at least 1 male chaperone (with clearances on file) Additional male or female chaperone is a bonus. Please contact Janet Hilsmier to discuss registration discount!

Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk or Treat on Sunday Oct. 26 from 4-6PM. In years past, we’ve encouraged our Confirmation students and Sr High students to host a trunk - come up with a theme, dress up, decorate a vehicle and hand out candy! Or host with your family!

Advent & Christmas 2025
Each year we invite our youth to host one of the Christmas Eve services. We will hold a worship planning meeting for all youth grades 6-12 and tree decorating party on November 23rd. Time to be determined.
The Youth Led Worship is at 9PM on Christmas Eve.
Advent Craft days will begin November 30 and youth are invited to lead craft tables and assist children with their projects.
