Fall Youth Retreat!
We’ve registered 14 people to go and hoping to encourage a few more youth to join us. If you've already responded YES, you have been registered in the group from St James Lutheran. If you were still deciding, you can still respond through this link and we will handle the official event registration.
We need to collect information for each attendee including health forms, insurance information, dietary restrictions/food allergies, and shirt sizes. Instructions for making payments for the retreat are also included. Follow this link to complete the form; please complete it by October 17, but sooner will help me get shirts ordered!
Apple Festival
Join us on October 11 for a full day of food and fun. The Apple Festival is a fundraising event and fills our Mission Trip fund to accommodate youth trip expenses. The planning team needs helpers in several areas to make this event run smoothly. Time spent working at the Apple Festival counts toward Confirmation Service Hours. Check out the Sign Up Genius to see how youth and adults can help!
Hayride - Corn Maze - Bonfire
We’ll be joining friends from Grace Lutheran Royersford on October 19 at 5pm at Olszanowski’s Farm in Spring City for an evening of Fall fun! Dress warmly, wear old sneakers or hikers, bring a flashlight! Cost is $17 per person. Full-family invite: youth in grades 6+, parents and siblings are welcome. RSVP to Janet Hilsmier by October 12.
Trunk or Treat
Join us for Trunk or Treat on Sunday Oct. 26 from 4-6PM. In years past, we’ve encouraged our Confirmation students and Sr High students to host a trunk - come up with a theme, dress up, decorate a vehicle and hand out candy! Or host with your family!
Music Opportunities
Eve Keane will be partnering with Kids Connect Leaders to teach the children a song each month or season. We’d love to have the youth join us on Sunday mornings to learn the songs and sing with the kids on Communion Sundays. Older kids make great models for the younger — and we know they like to get some time out of worship! Score some Confirmation Worship hours too!
Eve is also inviting Middle and High School youth to participate in Worship by singing with the choir or Praise Band. Those who play musical instruments might be able to perform during the holidays. Please see Eve for details.
Advent & Christmas 2025
Each year we invite our youth to host one of the Christmas Eve services. We will hold a worship planning meeting for all youth grades 6-12 and tree decorating party on November 23rd. Time to be determined.
The Youth Led Worship is at 9PM on Christmas Eve.
Advent Craft days will begin November 30 and youth are invited to lead craft tables and assist children with their projects.
